EYING: I scheduled an appointment with our tax strategist. I have made the mistake of waiting until Q4 in the past and I’m determined to mitigate our federal tax burden without feeling the stress of a time crunch.

BUYING: When I first started my blog I had dreams of sharing healthy things I was making for my family. The food photography and presentation really humbled me and I niched further into fashion. You could argue that should have humbled me too, but I kept going and it’s full circle. I had shared a blog post almost a decade ago about how I grew sprouts in my kitchen to add to meals as a nutrient-dense way to add fiber to my family’s meals. I just ordered these sprouting jars to get back at it! If you want to join me in this adventure, here are the seeds I ordered as well.

TRYING: Catching you up on some things I tried! This vacuum sealer did prevent my fresh herbs from wilting quickly. Trying it with berries next! I also got around to reinventing this inexpensive wood matted frame I liked with my own shell art.

FRYING: I tried some higher protein pumpkin cinnamon buns (from the Balanced Nutritionist, the actual recipe link is down so I’m linking to her site) and felt they were easy and tasty! I don’t make many sweets, so my tastes might be skewed. My son ate them, but they were still very carb heavy so I’m not sure I will make them again. I hosted some gals for a friend’s bday and we had this chicken, avocado, corn salad and it was good, but not amazing in my opinion.

STYLING: Washable shoes, where fashion meets function! It’s still quite hot in FL, so knowing I can wash these shoes, I am not paranoid I will sweat in them.
