Today I’m sharing my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale outwear picks.  I know it’s hard to start thinking of outwear while it’s still pool weather but your future self will thank you.  Coats and jackets are pricier wardrobe items so the discounts really add up.  Consider what you need or what you felt you were lacking last season.   A good piece of outwear is a great investment.   My most worn coat for the past few Winters was one I got before I even had kids.

I got several coats during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early access.  I haven’t shared any on Instagram yet because walking around town in cardigans was painful enough during this recent heat wave.   I’ll be adding some mirror selfies of my purchases to this post now that I am home from vacation.  I feel a sense of urgency to get the post up quickly because items are selling out so quickly.  Right now this peplum utility jacket remains in stock.

This peplum utility jacket is such a great piece and light enough that you can start wearing it now.  It’s a shirt jacket so it’s a great layering piece now over tanks and dresses or later over sweaters.   This jacket runs a bit big, I am wearing size X-Small.

Last year I wore this Free People peplum utility jacket at New York Fashion Week.  The peplum hem on these jackets adds a feminine touch that makes them military chic.  Doesn’t that sound like a cheesy fashion term?

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Outerwear Must Have: A Moto Jacket
