Hey guys! LOFT just started their “NEWNOW” sale so everything is 40% OFF. I headed to my local Loft to try some things on to tell you what I did and didn’t love and give sizing suggestions. If you missed my recent spring capsule wardrobe for work almost all of those items are still in stock and are included in the sale.
The ruffle hem on this striped shirt is pretty sheer so this cute striped top may be too short if you have a long torso. They refer to it as a sweatshirt online, but it’s more like a shirt in my opinion. I’m wearing size XS for reference.
This pink blazer is so pretty and perfect for work or happy hour. I sized down one size and paired it with this cute polka dot tank (XS).
This chambray shirt has puffed shoulders but the entire arm is wide so it looked more like football shoulder pads than just puffed shoulders. I would pass on this one! I’m wearing XS for reference if this interests you.
The quality of this striped cardigan did not impress me (wearing XS). I would recommend passing on this one and if you’re wanting a striped cardigan check out this affordable striped option I’ve shared a couple times on Instagram.
I loved this striped travel wrap. Perfect to wear to the beach or on a plane because it can double as a cuddle blanket. The striped layering tank (wearing xs) is a great basic.
This striped open cardigan was thick and soft and covered my bum. It felt more like loungewear than the other cardigans I tried on.
I loved the idea of this leopard raincoat but it’s unlined so it felt chilly when I put it on. It would be better for hot days but then you may sweat quite a bit because it’s not a breathable material. I would pass on this coat. Wearing size XS for reference.
This striped cardigan is a cross between a sweatshirt and blazer. Very comfy – I’m wearing XS. It’s navy and beige, not white stripes.
This pink utility coat is unlined so it’s good for warmer weather than we are getting in Connecticut these days. The XS fit me well with just a very thin layer below it so if you’re busty you may want to size up – I’m not :).
This peplum open hoodie was cute but not as long as it looked online. I did like this look and it comes in 3 colors, wearing XS.
This pink denim jacket was a bit cropped on me because I am 5’11” but it was very cute. Wearing size XS.
I’d be likely to add another layer to such a fitted tank but polka dots are in right now so this is a great find. Wearing XS here this polka dot tank would look cute under a blazer or cardigan (see below). I’m wearing my usual size in these cute ruffle hem shorts and they sit at the hips. If you want to wear them closer to your waist consider sizing down one size.
I am usually XS or small and I’m wearing a small in this white sweater because I wanted it to fall off one shoulder. I sure wish I had applied sunless tanner on my legs yesterday :).
These travel pants are super lightweight and a pretty relaxed fitted. The XS was a bit loose so I would not recommend sizing up for a looser fit. My peplum tee is not from Loft but it’s AWESOME and you can shop it here (wearing XS).
This striped wrap top was pretty wrinkled so I imaged if I put my seatbelt on it would look like this shortly after I steamed it. For that reason I would pass on this top (wearing XS if that doesn’t bother you).
This is a great everyday tie front top. I’m wearing XS for reference.
This striped poncho is definitely long enough to wear with leggings. I’m wearing size XS/S.
These white scalloped hem shorts run big. I sized down one. They have a 4″ inseam so they’re not as bootylicious as a lot of shorts out there right now. Wearing small in the white sweater, which I love but I’d pair it with a lace bandeau or camisole because it’s a pretty wide open knit.
And as we head into shorts season I wanted to make mention that like a lot of women I deal with a good amount of cellulite on the back of my legs so I use this cellulite massager every time I shower. It helps diminish the dimpling on the back of my legs but it did leave bruising for the first 2 weeks I was using it. So if you’re thinking of trying it I would recommend getting ahead of the warm weather and starting now.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Your support allows me to continue to post here….if you want to keep up with what’s going on on the blog and my favorite sale finds you can sign up for my weekly newsletter. Hope you have a great weekend!!
