With fall officially here, I thought I would share a versatile staple piece for fall – the sweater dress. You can dress it down for a casual day out, for the office or even a fun girls weekend trip. I’m heading on a girls’ trip to Park City, UT this weekend and will be packing a sweater dress with me.
Today I’m styling this sweater dress 3 different ways below. For reference, I’m 5’11” and wearing an extra small.
For starters, the sweater dress is so soft and comfy. The sleeves cuff so it’s good for tall and small gals. It looks great with a blazer layered on top because the sleeves are exposed just enough underneath.
You can wear the sweater dress alone or throw on a denim jacket for an added layer. This denim jacket is my all-time favorite. The length is good, the amount of distressing is just right and for under $20, it can’t be beat. It gets sold out pretty quickly so if by the time you are coming across this post and you see that it’s sold out, I recommend that you check back every so often because they keep restocking it.
Last but not least, you can style a sweater dress for a girls getaway or even for a night out. The faux fur vest I paired it with only comes in one size and it’s on the larger side. It’s great quality, but a smaller person would be swimming in it. Here is a similar option that comes in all sizes.
I’m wearing the over the knee boots in taupe but it’s more gray than taupe to me. Regardless, I love them. They’re the only pair that actually stays up over the knee for me. They do run snug so I’d size up. The boots are on sale right now with code PREFALL.
I rounded up 8 more sweater dresses in various styles and colors you can wear this fall below.
