Fall Sweaters 2017 – 5 Favorites Under $50 From Nordstrom

Welcome to the Blog
The season is here – Fall sweaters 2017 ! Although the September weather was not what I’d term “sweater weather”, October will be different. My favorite retailer, Nordstrom, has stocked a bunch of affordable sweater options I wanted to share today. While Nordstrom carries great cashmere pieces these affordable sweaters tend to sell out more quickly.
I am wearing size XS in the white bell sleeve sweater above. I love how it falls off one shoulder. My jeans and booties are both true to size. Despite a lot of stretch, these skinny jeans don’t look baggy after a few hours of wear.
Affordable Fall Sweaters 2017 Option 2: Pink Mock Neck Sweater
SHOP THIS LOOK:
The mock neck trend is strong this season and this pink mock neck sweater won’t break the bank. I love to pair sweaters with denim leggings (i.e.: pajama jeans) to look polished while staying comfortable. The white denim leggings I am sharing are a pair I just ordered (the exact pair I am wearing is sold out) so I can’t speak to the sizing just yet.
Do you spy my little Cam man creeping in the background? 🙂

This fleece tunic is SOOOOOO soft it feels like the inside of a brand new sweatshirt. It’s oversized (I am wearing XS). This tunic is the perfect top to stay cozy around the house or wear out running errands.
Over the knee boots are like jeans – there’s a fit for every body. I have what I would call unathletic legs so I like boots that have a lot of stretch in them. I also favor a block heel since I do a lot of walking every day. Since Nordstrom has free returns I would suggest either going in store to try on several pairs or carefully reading reviews and grabbing a few pairs since they offer free returns. This pair of over the knee boots looks nearly identical to my older pair above. The Stuart Weitzman boots are notoriously the BEST over the knee boots (unfortunately they are not in every fashionista’s budget).
Affordable Fall Sweaters 2017 Option 4: Long Ribbed Cardigan
SHOP THIS LOOK:
A thin cardigan is a great layering piece for this time of year when it goes from 50 degrees to 80 degrees in the course of a day. I am wearing size XS in this ribbed long cardigan. I added skinny jeans and mules. These mules are so comfortable and a good color to match with so many outfits. If you haven’t tried the mule trend I think this is a great starter pair to get you hooked (and under $70).
Affordable Fall Sweaters 2017 Option 5: Beige Slouchy Pullover
SHOP THIS LOOK:
If you follow me on Instagram you know I have never met a slouchy sweater I didn’t like. This one is no exception and won’t break the bank. I am wearing this slouchy sweater in size small and it comes in black and a trendy hot pink. Bright pink is very trendy right now but I’m not sure I can get on it. I’ve had a neutral wardrobe for 2 decades. The scarf above is reversible between plaid and houndstooth for under $30.
If if you thought I liked slouchy sweaters – I could go on even longer about my love of bralettes. This cap sleeve bralette is SO PRETTY and brand new to my collection. I am wearing size small above.
If you are looking for layers beyond a sweater I shared an affordable plaid cape in this post last week. For even more Fall outfit inspiration follow along with me on Pinterest.
Have you found a must have Fall sweater this season? I’d love to hear – not that I have a shopping problem ;).
