Beauty Products for the 40+ Mom

I have tried more beauty products than I can count over the years. These days I value products that are easy to incorporate into my busy schedule and are fairly clean ingredients. I rounded up my current beauty products to share, many of them I have been using in my daily routine for years and a few new ones I’ve been loving mixed in.

I thought I would start with one of my longest standing products, this sweat proof foundation. It works great on mature skin and it has an EWG rating of 2. My shade is 3N1.

I have been on the hunt for a new mascara and a friend recommended this drug store one. I have been pleased with it and you can’t beat the price!

This hair tool is a game changer and half the cost of its competitor. I am not sure how I lived without it.

Not the most glamorous beauty product but you’ll be thanking me when you’re feet aren’t scrapping your sheets and you don’t have to fear sandals!

I use to use the budget friendly dermaplaning tools for my face peach fuzz. They work good but I was ready to invest in something better for how often I need it and how fuzzy I am. It’s a game changer when applying makeup on mature skin.

No toxic lotions or potions needed. Just elbow grease in the shower. Run this over dimpling to break up the fascia.

Everyone needs an eyeshadow palette full of neutrals! And for $10 there is no reason to try anything else!

I bought the small size of this shampoo before going back for the big one.

A face primer is a must on mature skin. I’ve been really liking this ones. It diminishes appearance of pores and tames the shine.

A recent find for my mature skin has been this moisturizing undereye corrector. I have shade “bisque” which helps offset any blue undereye circles.

When summer is over and my tan fades, I love adding a couple drops of this to my face lotion for a little extra color. I use shade dark.

One of my longest standing beauty products are these peel pads. If you want one product that will make the biggest difference in your skin, these are it! Pro tip: cut them in half to make them last longer.

So many uses for castor oil! I use this one on my face and feet. The ultimate moisturizer.

I prefer this heat protecting balm to a spray so I’m not breathing in fumes. It also passed my heat test when I applied some to a Q-tip and took a flame to it! Many don’t.

My brows have started to migrate to my chin 🫣. This self sharpening pencil is only $3. Don’t underestimate the LIFT from framing your brows.

Speaking of hairs migrating to my chin. This was the first re-purchase I made when moving to the new house. Can’t live without my light up mirror that zooms in 15x!

I just switched concealers after YEARS of the same one. This is a moisturizing concealer that sits well on my mature skin. I have shade 2N.

These are my current lip products. All moisturizing and no matte – best for a mature lip. I have a save and a splurge of a neutral gloss type product and I also have a more moisturizing one that I have been using often.

This red light mask came highly recommended by my friend Becky. I like that I can get work done while wearing it. It is a bit of a splurge but much less than botox!
