You know I am a capsule wardrobe enthusiast and I recently shared my capsule home decor collections with you. Now I want to expand into skincare! I find in most areas of my life, if I simplify to my tried and true favorites I have more time and money for FUN! 

I think skincare and makeup can be easy areas to collect clutter and I really get drained by clutter. I used to use several serums and day and night skincare systems were more lengthy and varied. Over the last year and a half I have simplified. 

My 6 Go-To Skincare Products:

Keep in mind I am 43, not using Botox or fillers. My goal is not to age in reverse, I am ok with, and expecting, wrinkles along the way. I have combination skin. A bit oily in the T-zone but dry at times (especially before moving to a more humid climate by the water in FL). My pores are becoming a bit more noticeable with age. 

My Daily Skincare Routine

In the morning I wash my face with this Gentle Jelly Cleanser and follow it with the Dewy Day Cream. I have used this pairing for years. The cleanser is not over drying and the moisturizer is light, absorbs quickly, and isn’t too shiny. 

In the evening I use water on a Make-Up Eraser towel if I have worn makeup that day. That removes some of the makeup with only water. Then I use the Gentle Jelly Cleanser again followed by HALF off one of the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads. These pads are huge so cutting them in half gives you double the quantity, making them a good value in my opinion for how powerful they are.

After the peel pad I use Organic Caster Oil as my moisturizer. This is really thick and shiny but I think it helps plump the skin. I smooth it in with a Guasha stone. I used to think the stone was sort of a gimmick but after using it over my jowls I have noticed a diminished appearance.

Seasonal Skincare

A seasonal skincare item I love is these tanning drops you can get on Amazon. They have a low EWG rating and give a pale face a little glow. I used to mix them with my lotion but now I just apply a thin layer on my face AFTER the Dewy Day Cream.
