Today I am sharing my favorite time saving beauty products in collaboration with Ulta.
The T3 hair tools are definitely an investment, but I’ve been using mine a couple times a week for a year. I DEFINITELY feel I’ve recouped my investment and it’s my one of my BEST time saving beauty products. I have the T3 Twirl Trio (which offers 3 different wand barrels) but I use the 1″ straight barrel attachment most often. How does it save time? The curls last!!!! With the other wands I have tried, my curls fell out the same day. I curl my hair with my T3 in about 10 minutes and then I don’t wash my hair for at least 3 days. I air dry my hair, so investing just 10-15 minutes in curling my hair twice a week gives me great hair with no effort.
Getting your hair to look good between extended washes is a process. The less you wash it the less quickly it gets greasy. There are about 2 weeks where you might want to throw in the towel but stick it out. My hair gets greasy around day 2 or 3. I find Batiste Dry Shampoo works as well as the more expensive spray dry shampoos. I also love a dry shampoo paste mentioned in this blog post.
My Facebook followers turned me onto this nail polish and I haven’t been to the nail salon since!!! As a mom, I was paying $40 in babysitting, in addition to $72 for a gel mani/pedi with tip. Nail maintenance was really pinching my time and money and I am SO HAPPY to have found a polish that lasts. My favorites shades are the “Romantique” and “Cream Puff“. You will need to use the Vinylux topcoat to make the polish last a week. The polish and topcoat combined cost less than my babysitting fees for one trip to the nail salon.
I never had lash extensions, but that’s another appointment you can skip out on if you grow your own lashes. I have been using lash serum for probably 9 months and the difference is amazing. It takes about a month of nightly application to see the difference but then – suddenly – your lashes will appear to have almost doubled in length!
Since becoming a work at home mom, I sleep less than before. My uninterrupted work day starts at bedtime so I keep late hours. I have tried LOTS of concealers to hide my tired eyes and Shape Tape is my favorite. What I love about this concealer is that it doesn’t easily rub off or smudge your other eye make up. It goes on a bit “wetter” than some other concealers so my initial reaction was that the coverage would be too thin. I lightly spread it in a pie shape under my eyes and let it dry for a minute while I apply other makeup, and then go back and blend it out. I have the shade “fair neutral” for when I am pale, and “light-medium honey” for when I am tan. One tube, used EVERY DAY has lasted me nearly a year. A little goes a long way.
I also want so share some goodies I grabbed at Ulta to amp up my holiday makeup! On an everyday basis I don’t wear a lot of makeup so it’s fun to glam up for holiday events. I grabbed a Tarte Holiday Gift set that included a bunch of eyeshadows, bronzer, blush and lip paint. Tarte is my overall favorite beauty brand and this set bundles a lot of great products to try at once. I have hooded eyes so I only wear eyeshadow for special occasions – like holiday parties. I like that this set lets me try out shades I wouldn’t otherwise pick out individually. If anyone else has hooded eyes and wants a post about makeup tips – drop a comment below!
The holiday beauty sets that come out this time of year a great way to try new products and tools from brands you love. I think this mascara set is a great stocking stuffer. These two products combined hold their own against most high end mascara favorites. What’s your favorite mascara? I was finding my favorite, “Better Than Sex” was drying out too quickly but a few people told me you can refresh it with a drop of saline (contact solution). Someone told me they extended their tube almost a year with this beauty trick. NYX “Double Stacked” mascara is another great product. It adds a lot of length and volume and doesn’t flake off. Speaking of NYX, I also love their Butter Gloss which is super moisturizing for the Winter. I have shades “strawberry cheesecake” and “cremè brûlée”.
Did you make any beauty purchases during Cyber Week? I purchased some new makeup brushes to start fresh with in 2018. I am also wondering if any of you have tried this straightening brush, or another? I have heard great things.
Please share your favorite time saving beauty products in the comments below so we can all learn from each other! Thanks for stopping by!!! Have a great holiday season.
