Today I’m sharing some of my favorite Spring fashion trends for 2017. I’d love to hear what you’re loving and looking forward to wearing as temperatures rise!
One Shoulder Tops and Dresses.
Last year was all about off the shoulder tops which haven’t gone away but they’re increasingly being replaced by one shoulder tops and dresses. I like to think one bra strap is better than none :). Really though I love one shoulder pieces. I can remember wearing them back in college and they’ve now circled back around.
Statement Stripes.
I know I often associate stripes with a nautical theme so I wear them much more during the warmer months. Statement stripes will be on the scene more this Spring and Summer. I’ve been noticing a lot of pants and dresses with vertical stripes that are really attention grabbers (and aren’t vertical stripes supposed to be slimming?).
Slogan Tees.
From band tees to funny/catch phrases statement tees and tanks are a good way to grab someone’s attention or at least give them a chuckle.
Embellished Sneakers
I remember reading awhile ago that French women are appalled by our sneaker trend. I am a casual dresser so I’m so happy sneakers are in. An embellished or statement sneaker (to wear with jeans, joggers, or even skirts) is a good way to remain comfortably chic.
Uneven raw hem cropped denim
I’ve worn several pairs of cropped denim in recent Instagram posts. I love the look but you do need to show a cute shoe and make sure to shave your legs! Raw hem denim has been on trend for awhile, I love when the front is cut a bit shorter than the back.
Slides/Loafers
Similar to the sneaker trend – I’m so happy that slip on shoes are now stylish. It makes it so easy to run out of the house and they look so polished with cropped denim and a tee and blazer. Metallic and tassel embellished slides are even trendier, and the perfect Spring trend to dress up a basic outfit.
