A lot of you loved the this year’s Spring Casual Capsule Wardrobe and I got a few requests for a workwear version for spring so here it is for my office gals! While I don’t go into an office myself, I know a lot of you do and I wanted to offer some simple business casual outfits to make getting ready in the morning THAT much easier!
The idea of a capsule wardrobe is to group versatile, basic wardrobe pieces that can be restyled in many outfit combinations. For this spring edition, I am sharing a wardrobe for work. The goal is to have a closet full (yet more empty) of items that are flexible and can be worn a variety of different ways. Fewer, but more versatile pieces makes getting dressed in the morning easier!
If you use Pinterest I thought the image below might be a helpful reminder if you have an idea board for workwear or spring outfits. You can follow me on Pinterest here.
One of the main essentials to a workwear capsule no matter the season is a white button-down shirt (it’s non-iron!!!). What I love about having this staple item in your closet is its versatility. There are so many ways to style a button-down blouse. Of course, you can always wear them tucked into a nice pair of black ankle pants which always look timeless, polished and professional for a 9-5 look.
These short sleeve compression tees are great for layering with a blazer in the office and can be worn by itself for an effortless out-of-office look. They come in a ton of color options if you want to branch out and experiment with color in your wardrobe.
A pair of tan and black heels will go with everything and are a timeless shoe that wear well through the seasons. I love this woven slingback pair (which I mentioned are trending in this spring in my Shoe Trends blog post).
I hope you found this post helpful in finding some office attire for the next few months. You can sign up for my weekly newsletter if you don’t want to miss a post.
