You may have seen on Instagram that I recently helped my friend Brittany of LoverlyGrey give her beach house a glow up. They had purchased the property a couple years ago and it’s been so busy with renters that they had not taken it out of the rotation to give it a facelift…until now!
In addition to updating much of the furniture and lighting to a more coastal vibe, we tore out all the carpet, repainted all the walls and trim, and replaced an old fiberglass shower.
We used a Lifeproof LVP flooring (in dusky cherry) that I have used in other rentals along 30a. It’s SUPER durable so it will hold up to wet bathing suits and sand on the floor for years to come. The flooring has a built in underlay so it goes in quickly and easily.
Sherwin Williams “Snowbound” in satin on the trim and eggshell on the walls. We did not paint the ceiling.
We took down a lot of heavy curtains in favor of woven wood black-out shades. I have a whole blog post about these window treatments. I have used them in a handful of flips, remodels, and in my personal homes.
This is common in beach houses to get extra heads in beds. A lot of families like to pack into one home on vacation so this allows extra guests sleep comfortably.
The home is listed here on AirBnb.
