I always say – trends aren’t a place I want to invest in wardrobe. I love the Karl Lagerfeld quote “trendy is the last stage before tacky”. Trends come and go fairly quick so I wouldn’t buy a trendy Gucci belt bag for $1,150 when 1-2 years from now I’ll have that bag in my giveaway pile. That’s why I’m excited to share some spring accessory trends that don’t break the bank in collaboration with Nordstrom. I love that while Nordstrom does offer investment pieces (I’ve always wanted to pull the trigger on a Chloé handbag), they also offer more budget friendly options as well.

1. Snakeskin Accessories

If it is possible I might be loving snakeskin even more than leopard print these days. Nordstrom carries so many cute snakeskin pieces. I just ordered these snakeskin mules and I can’t wait for them to come. You may have noticed the snakeskin belt I’m wearing above from one of the outfits I wore on my recent trip to the RewardStyle conference.

2. Mixed Media Jewelry

Shells and wood are really popular items to tie into jewelry at the moment. As someone who loves natural texture and elements I’m really excited about this spring accessory trend!

3. Woven Handbags

Nordstrom carries over 300 woven handbags right now so there’s something for everyone!!! This is definitely one of my favorite trends and it’s a great way to make a statement for a night out. There are also so many cute woven beach bags, so this is an accessory trend I think most of you will love.

4. Layered Necklaces

This is a trend I’ve been loving for about a year, and it’s becoming even more popular lately. Nordstrom offers some great lower price point options if you want to try the trend before you commit your jewelry budget to it.

5. Angular Sunglasses

I have a very round face so I gravitate towards square sunglasses. No matter what shape you find flatters your face Nordstrom carries them!

6. Clear Handbags

I carry very few items of interest so I this is a trend I’m on board with, but if you value a little privacy (maybe carrying tampons??) a lot of these clear handbags have smaller opaque pouches inside of them.
