I am excited to be partnering with Target to share a little holiday home tour. My decorating philosophy in my 30’s was cover every surface in the house with holiday decor but this year I am subscribing to “what goes up, must come down”. So I have what I consider a manageable amount of holiday decor and most of it is from Target so the quality and prices are great.
Target does such a good job of reinventing elegant, neutral holiday decor year after year. You will see some pieces I share are new this season and some I am linking are similar to holiday decor I have grabbed from Target in past years.
I am always a sucker for there small white holiday houses (also live this style). This year they come LIT (and the light is on a timer which is even better). I used the houses on a console table last year but this year I used them on my dining table along with a mix of neutral Christmas trees – all from Target!! For faux snow I like to use Epsom salts, sometimes even scented ones, because I just vacuum it all away at the end of the season. It’s a great alternative to breathing in plastic flock all season.
Target has a lot of great faux greenery – both stems and garlands. Whether you want pine or magnolia garlands, Target has lots of realistic, but low maintenance garland options. I grabbed several 40″ faux pine stems to put in a large vase in our living room.
One tip I have is that Target has GREAT seasonal throw pillows and blankets and many of the pillows have zip off covers so you can choose your own insert and then only have to store the cover, which takes up much less room, in the off season. I LOOOOOOVE this oblong Christmas tree pillow and this large green Christmas tree throw pillow which has a zip cover (I changed the insert to a down option, also from Target).
We don’t have a wide enough mantle inside so I hung some stockings over our outdoor fireplace. Aren’t these gold and marble star stocking holders so pretty?!
If you are hosting guests over the holidays Target has you covered! We are hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas so stay tuned on Instagram as I share more ideas as that gets closer.
Thank you to Target for sponsoring today’s post.
